Wiltshire Horn Sheep
We run a small flock of Wiltshire Horn Sheep to keep our paddocks tidy for the donkeys. We find they are the ideal lifestyle block sheep as our sheep are fully shedding. No shearing and crutching required. They also look interesting in the paddock with both ewes and rams having horns. We find them very easy to look after with average lambing percentages between 160 and 190 percent.
Good fences are necessary as they are very good foragers however they respond well to electric fences.
Every year we sell off our surplus stock which are sort after by lifestylers who cross them with terminal sires for a good eating lamb.
